The model treats the dew as a probability shift of roughly 4 percentage points; the actual impact in some matches was 8–10 points because of unexpected grip loss for the bowlers. Captain pick audit — IPL 2025 in detail
Across the 74 IPL 2025 league matches, the COME SPORTS captain pick landed in the top-10 percent of all users' teams 21 percent of the time. The breakdown by match phase: 26 percent in the first 10 matches (when the field was still calibrating), 22 percent in matches 11–37, and 18 percent in matches 38–74 (when the field caught up to our framework).
The single biggest driver of the top-decile captain picks was the "in-form anchor on flat deck" strategy, which delivered a top-decile rate of 28 percent. The single biggest miss was the "differential all-rounder on green seamer" strategy, which delivered only 12 percent.
